Dancewear vs. Underwear

Well just so that you know, my opinion is rather biased, based on the fact that I design and create exotic dance wear costumes for Male Exotic Dancers. However, if I see one more dancer--Go-Go or otherwise that thinks that wearing a pair of Ginch-Gonch underwear is a 'costume' I think I'll retire from 'tipping' in perpetuity. There is nothing that is less appealing in a club than to see all of their male go-go boys wearing the latest 2X-ist styles and thinking that somehow that is a turn-on at all. Now I know that some people 'get-off' on seeing guys in their 'skivvies', but I am not one of them. The first thing that I look for upon my arrival at the club is the dancer (or bartender) that goes out of their way in an-ever-so-Lady Ga Ga sort of style; expressing their individuality through their choice of clothing/costuming. I look for the shiny, reflective, shimmery or coordinated look that sets them apart from everyone else at the club. Tips run incessantly from my fingertips all night long for the 'performer' that intrigues me with their chameleon-like demeanor throughout the night. Costumes or coordinated looks ie: Leather daddy, Super-hero, or simply fashionista work well and keep me coming back for more. In the early 1980's there were more bartenders that tended to wear trendy 'get-ups' like the Chippendale's 'cuffs and collars or just a leather harness and leather chaps or jeans with a leather cap to top it off. I don't know why they stopped, but I think that the acceptance of 'gay' as a lifestyle tended to put the brakes on -trying to be different in the community as a whole. I for one LOVE to go into a club and see that commitment to individuality and expression; as a customer that is not afraid to spend my hard-earned dollars tipping them for the 'turn-on' that I get from them. Here's hoping for a return to the 'good-ole days' when we defined ourselves by being different-but with style rather than for the sake of being different-which by definition we were already.
